Dealer could get up to 12 years in prison
A jury found a drug dealer who had set up shop in the heart of Greenbank guilty last week of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
LANGLEY — Rudy Mayko has a lifetime of experience that helps him tutor Langley Middle School students in math and sciences.

Mayko turned 90 Monday and the students of the Seabiscuit Club, a club founded by Mayko and fellow-senior Dolores Fresh, celebrated his birthday Wednesday. The Seabiscuit Club helps students achieve their goals through mentoring.
New decor will help spotlight town history
LANGLEY — Langley City Hall will get a face lift by the hands of the city’s new “first lady.”
It all began when Karen Samuelson redecorated her husband Paul’s office after he took the helm at city hall in January.

When developers Steve Day and Nancy Josephson arrived in Langley, they faced an uphill battle — quite literally.
The couple wants to build a mixed-use complex nestled into the steep bluff on Langley’s waterfront. The development would stretch across four properties between Wharf Street and Cascade Avenue, including what is now the Edgecliff Restaurant. Commercial space, an inn, a conference center and residences are planned.
